(Original photo by Elena Mozhvilo on Unsplash – edited by Nick Pipitone) What do you see?
I distorted this photo so much that it turned out looking like a Rorschach test, though a trippy one. The original photo was an illustration of earth as seen from space. Like a Rorschach test, I can definitely make out some images, faces, etc. in here.
Near the very bottom of the image, I see something that looks like a Cosmic Buddha. But that’s just me!

Here’s something I made on Canva recently – just playing around with various filters and effects. The man pictured, of course, is the French philosopher and absurdist Albert Camus.

Photo originally taken in Philadelphia in 2021. Originally, this was a photo of the door to an abandoned house in my Philly neighborhood (I shared the photo here). When I distorted the photo with effects on Canva, it ended up looking like the gates of hell. I like how the yellowish-orange color makes it look like flames. Working on this one reminded me of a horror movie Rachel and I watched recently called As Above, So Below (which I highly recommend checking out). During the movie, there’s a reference to Dante’s Inferno and the inscription at the gate of hell: “abandon all hope ye who enter here.”
