Red moon, what do you want?
I offered my children
I ignored your taunts
What more could you ask for?

shoot this arrow into
the starry night sky
& pull the moon down
it’s pale & useless
it offends my sensibilities –
i want death-sleep &

It was a full moon that night, a bright and powerful moon
that beamed blinding light onto the blankets of snow that covered the hills.
I’ve always loved photos of the moon hanging over the sea at night, so I decided to draw my own depiction last year. Like I mentioned in a previous post about drawing, the process has been very soothing for me.
