The Moon Explodes (a poem)

The moon explodes in the sky tonight
Burning, flaming, a terrible sight
Bitter succor to her golden rims
My eyes shot and throbbing with love
Behind the many sweetly purple stars,
Disdain will be the theme of tonight
Shone on the human face with the dread,
Tonight, we die, it is forever here
