Holy Endeavor (a poem)

There’s a battle going on
Inside the minds of men
Some of us are pawns
Some of us are kings

The battle is eternal
A duality of dark and light
On earth it’s a rehearsal
For the glory of the afterlife

You ask why the world exists
None of this can be proven
Some of us will resist
And lead the revolution

When I see you at the pearly gates
I will smile and hold your hand
For now, we’ll continue to wait
As the universe expands

Keep up the fight forever
And face your darkest fears
This mission is a holy endeavor
And we are spiritual pioneers
