Tiny Speck in the Mountains (a poem)

Waves of mountains in distance – stop to take a look
Pastel pink, blue, and yellow – looks like a painting
I feel small amid grandness – tiny speck out here
The journey is not done yet – it has just begun

Author’s Note: This poetic form is known as an Imayo, a Japanese form similar to the haiku, tanka, and senryu. The Imayo is four lines with 12 syllables in each line. There’s a planned caesura (pause) between the first 7 syllables and the final 5, which I marked with a hyphen. I learned about the Imayo from Writer’s Digest. As for the content of the poem, I used the picture as a prompt. What a beautiful photo!
