‘Morning in the Desert’ published in MasticadoresIndia!

Exciting news! My poem, “Morning in the Desert,” has been published in MasticadoresIndia. The new blog is run by my fellow blogger/friend Terveen Gill, and you should check it out!

Here’s a link to “Morning in the Desert.”

Masticadores (as some of you may know) is a network of blogs that publishes the work of other writers. There are subsections of the site for different countries, including the U.S.

MasticadoresIndia launched on September 1, 2021, and it’s off to a great start. It already has 100-plus followers and there have been several great poems and stories posted there.

Though India is in the site’s name, the site is open to submissions from writers worldwide. The only thing is submissions are English language only.

Click here for the Submissions Guidelines.

Terveen Gill is the editor of MasticadoresIndia, and she’s become a great blogging friend of mine. She frequently reads my blog and leaves very encouraging comments. So, I wanted to return that goodwill with a shout-out for her new site!

Terveen also has her own blog where she shares wonderful (and sometimes hilarious) pieces of flash fiction. Click here for a link to her blog.

  1. Congrats on the publication! I enjoyed the poem. You well described a search for deeper meaning and not finding it — but continuing to look. Your poem values determination and an open mind that’s willing to learn.

  2. Thanks so much, Nick.
Your poem was so moving and beautiful. We all have felt this way.
I really appreciate you as a person, writer, and friend. We have bonded over words.
And it was such an honor to share your poetry.
Thanks for the shout-out. It means a lot to me.
    Keep writing and inspiring. 🙂
