We fade into the night
Watch us drift away
Our disappearance ever so slight
Please, don’t be afraid
We return in the morning
But fade again in darkness
Nighttime is for mourning
In skies always starless
We fade but are never gone
Just invisible and wandering
Back to solid form at dawn
After a night spent pondering
We fade and you won’t miss us
You’ll hardly know we’re gone
Say good-bye right before dusk
When we venture into the beyond
