Great Unknown (a poem)

can you picture God?

it’s better you don’t

we call him by a masculine name

but maybe he’s genderless

just pure energy

not the childhood image

with white beard and robe

but a flowing spirit of love

the great unknown

Indeed, God might not be in the same appearance club as Santa, Gandalf, Dumbledore, and Moses. I agree it’s more likely God is a spirit of creation to breathe animating life into things.

Yes! Unless God is a Flying Spaghetti Monster. In which case, I can very clearly picture that 🙂
