Author’s Note: For whatever reason, I’ve been thinking about the infinite lately. I often think of the afterlife as infinite or eternal, something that’s boundless or without end. Apparently, there’s open debate in cosmology about whether or not the universe is infinite, according to Wikipedia. Are there infinite stars in the sky? Infinite planets? In mathematics, the infinite is also studied. One mathematician/philosopher (Hermann Weyl) opened an address in 1930 by saying, “Mathematics is the science of the infinite.” So, beyond our physical existence, is that, also, where the infinite lies?
