Sheep (a poem)

Rows of cars jammed at traffic lights

grind over asphalt – horns bleat like sheep

we’re all sheep, choking on exhaust.

Patches of grass in front of

endless row homes.

Where are the trees?

No parks – just pizza shops,

parking lots and cold concrete.
